Brian

Brian registered to be a bone marrow donor in the early 2000’s in Oxnard at an annual Filipino Festival. He was told that there was a dire need of Filipino donors, so when he heard that he said, “there wasn’t much thought as to whether or not I should do it”. He said he took it as a personal “Bat signal" from his people that they needed help.
“It feels awesome being able to literally save someone’s life! People worry about the inconvenience of time and location, the possible discomfort of the process, or whatever else… All I can say in response is, from my experience, all that stuff couldn’t possibly change my life as much as it did my recipient's."
