In the past 25 years, A3M has given hope and a second chance of life to many patients. Their journeys have inspired and motivated us to continue our mission of increasing and diversifying the Be the Match Registry.
On Saturday, October 7, 2017, A3M celebrated 26 years of bringing hope and creating miracles at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach during our Starnight 2017 Annual Gala. Not only did our 350 attendees get to witness the first meeting between Mario, a bone marrow recipient, and his donor, Jennifer, but long time A3M supporter, Gene Kanamori, also received the Human Spirit Award. Mr. Kanamori has been a significant part of A3M's success for almost two decades. His encouragement, support, and guidance have meant a second chance for patients in need of matching marrow donors.
Special thank you to KAMA, Anderson LA and RR Donnelley, Coco Masukawa and siblings, Yonsei, H3M, volunteers, and our Starnight committee: Gene Kanamori, Hemant Mistry, Richard Lee, Jim Lee, Vickie Kanamori and Gay Harada. This evening would not have been possible without you.
A3M is committed to supporting patients from the communities that are underrepresented in the Be the Match Registry. Thank you for helping us continue our life-saving work.
